2026 Community Grants
With proceeds from the 2025 Red Ants Pants Music Festival, we were able to award $10,000 in grants in 2026. To date, the Red Ants Pants Foundation has granted $210,000 to over 150 entities across nearly every corner of Montana! Join us in congratulating the 8 recipients of the Red Ants Pants Foundation’s 2026 Community Grants.
Building a Better Babb Foundation (BABB)
Location: Babb, MT
Award: $1000
The Building a Better Babb Foundation (BABB) is a brand new community-led initiative determined to improve the quality of life for families in Babb, St. Mary, and surrounding areas. This funding will assist the BABB Foundation in improving local community access to public facilities including their elementary school, Head Start Facility, and Fire Hall/EMS building.
Blaine County 4-H
Location: Chinook, MT
Award: $2000
The Blaine County 4-H Teaching Farm & Community Garden Project is designed to provide hands-on agricultural education that builds practical skills, leadership, and a deeper understanding of food systems among youth and community members. The project will create a sustainable, community-supported space for learning through gardens, livestock, and natural resource stewardship. Through partnerships, programming, and volunteer engagement, the farm will strengthen agricultural awareness and youth development across Blaine County.
Reframing Rural
Location: Statewide
Award: $1500
Reframing Rural is a documentary podcast that challenges stereotypes about rural places by introducing listeners to people, history and culture that don’t always get the spotlight. Season five of the podcast, “Rural Motherhood,” will investigate the stressors and solutions rural Montana mothers are experiencing today. The five-episode season will share stories from a pregnant mom in Plentywood, to childcare workers in Dillon and women seeking respite and connection at the Red Ants Pants Foundation's Women in Ag Wellbeing Retreat.
Cutting Fences Foundation
Location: Geraldine, MT
Award: $1000
Cutting Fences Foundation is a non-profit serving farmers, ranchers, and Veterans living with a disability or illness. They provide free access to large pieces of adaptive equipment through their Adaptive Equipment Loan Closet. The funds awarded will directly support their Rural Resource Barn. This barn will help grow and store their adaptive equipment inventory. It will also allow them to partner with MonTECH to bring increased access to assistive technology to central Montana and the surrounding areas.
Valley Ridge Runners Saddle Club
Location: Glasgow, MT
Award: $1000
The Valley Ridge Runners Saddle Club is a community organization dedicated to promoting equine culture in Valley County. The clubhouse and arena are a popular community venue. The grant funds will be used to restore the worn arena to its former pristine condition which includes repairing gates, crow's nest, fencing, and posts. Any remaining funds will be used for on-going maintenance of the arena.
Wheatland County Senior Citizens Center
Location: Harlowton, MT
Award: $2000
Since 1972, Wheatland County Senior Citizens Center has been serving nutritious meals to their golden seniors in their dining room and by delivery, which expands seniors social connections and activities. The outdoor picnic area next to the building is enjoyed by the seniors and community. The outdoor park upgrade project in this area will make it safer and the three-sided kiosk message center will help share information about community events and happenings.
Richey High School
Location: Richey, MT
Award: $500
Richey High School is a small rural public school serving students from agricultural families in eastern Montana. The school emphasizes hands-on learning, community engagement, and projects that connect students to the region’s history, culture, and agricultural heritage. The Her Hands, Our Harvest: Women of the Land Mural will create a permanent public artwork honoring women in agriculture while giving students hands-on experience in design, collaboration, and community engagement.
Musselshell Valley Historical Museum
Location: Roundup, MT
Award: $1000
The Musselshell Valley Historical Museum is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to preserving and sharing the region’s history, from dinosaurs to early settlement. Grant funds will be used for portable, museum-quality display pedestals that bring fossils and historical artifacts directly into schools, libraries, and public spaces across the rural Musselshell Valley. These traveling exhibits will expand access to hands-on education, promote local heritage, and strengthen community engagement beyond the museum’s walls.
